A brief introduction about the course and equipment, before we hit the water. Our kayaking session would start with a short float/swim in water, wet exits, basic paddling strokes, turning strokes to get a sense of how the kayak responds to your actions. We would focus on these things and practice a lot. Towards the end of the day we teach bow assisted rescues. The day is long and we try our best to make it fun.
Today’s kayaking objective is to re-affirm the techniques learnt, and to practice the same in moving water. We would learn leaning techniques and ferry glides. Practice of eskimo rescue would also be high on the agenda. The day would end with a river run with few easy rapids
Now is the time to put our basic skills to use, and we would run a class II whitewater section on Ganges along with our team of professional kayakers.
Today we will go bit more higher up in the river and would run rapids up to class II+ difficulty levels. It is bound to be an action packed day.
