Trekking tours
On most treks, porters - or alternatives such as mules - carry the guests’ luggage. You walk with a smaller day backpack holding your essentials: water bottle, packed lunch, trail snacks, gloves, camera. Guests are equipped with retractable trekking poles, snow gaiters and any other technical gear the trail or season calls for.
On some treks and climbing-style trips you may need to carry your full gear for part or all of the trail, and on certain treks we run a Do-It-Yourself style of camping and cooking for a more hands-on experience. Whenever a trip works this way it is spelled out clearly in the tour description, so there are no surprises.
Rafting & kayaking expeditions
Every expedition is self-supported by cargo boats that carry all the camping gear and rations, with safety kayaks always alongside. Guests are fitted with proper safety gear - life jackets and helmets - plus wetsuits, neoprene booties and splash jackets according to the season and the nature of the expedition.
For kayaking courses and trips we outfit each participant with a kayak matched to their fit, which they use throughout their trip.

What’s always taken care of
Clear start & end points
Each tour states exactly where our service begins and ends, so you can understand its scope and arrange anything extra with us well in time.
Mobile camp kitchen
A tented kitchen with full cookware, rations and crew. We serve freshly cooked, nutritious meals with the least possible packaged food, and proper crockery for a comfortable meal outdoors.
Mess tent dining
A dedicated mess tent where everyone sits together in the evenings and on layover days. All meals are served here, buffet style, sheltered from the elements, with stools provided.
Quality tents & bedding
Spacious, good-quality nylon dome tents, with rubber ground mats and sleeping bags along with fleece liners or comforters.
Safety & support
Every tour carries first-aid kits and walkie-talkies, with experienced crew, support vehicles and English-speaking guides.
